About Marcus Aurelius Bust (Bronze) Our Roman Bust Statue of Marcus Aurelius in Cuirass (Green Bronze) is a reduction inspired by the marble original in the archaeological museum of Toulouse, Musée Saint-Raymond in France. This bust depicts Marcus Aurelius wearing his military armor with a characteristic head of medusa on the chest. A reduced in size bronze Marcus Aurelius bust after one of the most famous Roman emperors (161 to 180 AD), who ruled with his adoptive brother, Lucius Verus, until Verus' death in 169, and with his son, Commodus, from 177. He was the last of the so-called Five Good Emperors, among the Roman emperors he has been called "The Philosopher". The stone socle of this bust can have veinings of different color and size which can alter the final appearance of the bust.
