Description

Our client's finely modeled and cast antique (late 19th century) patinated bronze bust sculpture of the Roman goddess, Diana, after the original model by Jean-Antoine Houdon (1741-1828), was cast in Paris by Susse Freres. 22 1/2 inches tall, it rotates smoothly by hand on its round plinth. Signed with the stamped mark of the foundry. Weight: 28 lbs. Estate-fresh, this bronze is in good condition with scuffs, scratches, stains, rubbing wear and dirt in crevices.
